I did move 10 days after the opening night of I'll Be your mirror, 2 days after the photos were taken. Which can explain the epic proportions of slobiness. I am a slob but maybe not to that extent.

C'est un beau bordel. Mais bon, j'ai demenage 10 jours apres mon vernissage, ce qui me parait une excuse valable.

Yet again I can't seem to figure out how to include links in the body of the mail, so click on the "Creative loafing" and "Burnaway" links on the right side.
I dreaded having to read critics for the first time, but it ended being a pleasant experience.

DAY+62: Un Bon Debut d'annee

Need to send my rolls to my lab, until then here are some super lo fi telephone shots.
More than the speech, being in the middle of such a positive crowd was worth the hassle, the long lines and the frost bites.
Every one was smiling, even the cops were cracking jokes.
I could see barack silhouette in the distance, half his face on a giant screen behind the tree.
But his voice and the claps echoing throughout the mall were all that mattered.

Day+51: Oh mais pourquoi?

Pourquoi faut il que mon expo se finisse?
Demain, on decroche les photos et on les empaquette en atendant leur prochaine destination.
Et Dieu sait comment on va decoller mon experimentation grand format.

Today is the last day of the 1st installment of the show.
Frames are getting off the wall and into crates, and we'll see how we're going to take my wall paper experiment off.
Is that so wrong to want my work to be shown forever?

DAY+22: La rentree des classes

First assignment after saying no to work for the past 2 months.
As I'm a lucky bastard, it was for Vogue Paris.
Which obviously kicks ass as a magazine, but also has the nicest team.
Getting to collaborate after being in my own head for so long was like taking the first sip of coffee after a long caffeine free break.
The photos turned out so good, I couldn't be happier.
It will be in the february issue.

Premier boulot, apres avoir dis non a tout ces deux derniers mois.
Quel plaisir de collaborer apres avoir ete tout seul a editer et imprimer pendant si longtemps.
Les photos dechirent, j'ai hate que le magazine sorte.
Ce sera dans le numero de fevrier de vogue.

J'ai vendu 5 photos.
Je n'esperais rien en ces temps plus que frisquets.
Etre satisfait de mes tirages et mon installation etait deja une tres bonne suprise. Moi qui m'attendait a ne voire que les defauts.
C'est donc une cerise sur le gateau.
